Punjab Act No. 7 of 1969.

Received the assent of the Governor of Punjab on the 7th of May, 1969, and was   published  in   the   Punjab   Gazette,  (Extra),  Legislative  Supplement,  Part  I, dated May 9, 1960.

An Act to amend the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, in its application to the State of Punjab.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Twentieth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

1.  Short title and commencement:

(1) This Act may be called the Land Acquisition (Punjab Amendment) Act, 1969.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of July, 1967.

2.  Amendment of section 28 and 34 of Central Act 1 of 1894. – In section 28 and 34 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, in its application to the State of Punjab, for the word “four”, the word “six” shall be substituted.
