Inquiry into application for maintenance by relatives of deceased pensioners; Circular no. 17 of 1852. When an application for maintenance is made by the widows or by the members of family of a deceased pensioner, and there are any special grounds for taking the claim into consideration, the Deputy Commissioner should inquire into the case, and, if necessary, report the circumstances to the Commissioner, with his recommendation as to how it should be dealt with.
