Authority of payment of pensions

The authority for payment of pensions is a pension payment order issued by the Accountant- General and the disbursing officer is the Treasury Officer. The sanction of the Collector, however, is necessary in certain cases of payments of arrears to heirs. The rules are contained in chapter 19 of the Treasury Manual, as amended by the first list of corrections.
