Sub: Allotment of Rural Evacuee Agricultural Land to displaced persons who abandoned Urban Agricultural land in Pakistan.

Memorandum

In partial modification of the instructions issued vide this Department letter No.RI( 131) 40088, dated December 26, 1961 ( copy enclosed), on the subject cited above, it is hereby directed that where certain displaced persons had secured allotments of rural evacuee agricultural land, in lieu of the urban agricultural land abandoned in Pakistan and the same had been subsequently cancelled being irregular, may be allowed alternative allotments of rural evacuee agricultural land, if otherwise covered under the rules, strictly according to their entitlement and grade, provided they have not received any compensation what-so-ever, in lieu of the urban agricultural land abandoned by them in Pakistan. Before making allotment in such cases, these should be referred to Government for prior approval.
