Lapse or resumption of entire estates

Entire estates. On the lapse or resumption of an assignment of a land revenue of one or more estates, or of a specific proportion of such revenue, no new settlement will ordinarily be necessary as jagir villages have, in most cases, already been settled with the proprietors.  The estate or estates will be entered in the half-yearly return of lapsed and resumed assignments in order to obtain sanction to the inclusion of the revenue assessed on them in the district revenue roll for the following year.
