Subject :           Relief for crop loss due to fire in April/May, 2001

                        The State Govt. vide its instructions No. 7/4/2001-ER-II/ 5003, dated 12/7/01 has made provision for grant of  relief @ Rs.3000/- per acre for crop loss due to fire. These instructions would apply from the date of issue.

2.The matter regarding fire cases had come up for discussion in the meeting of Deputy Commissioners held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister on 11/6/2001. It was pointed out that there were number of cases of crop loss due to fire during the current harvest season i.e. in the month of April/May, 2001. You are requested to examine the cases and if the cases were reported to the Revenue authorities promptly and if the crop loss due to fire is easily verifiable then forward your proposals to this department as per instructions dated 10/7/2001. Only those cases of crop loss due to fire pertaining to the period April/May, 2001 would be sent which satisfy all the terms and conditions contained in the instructions dated 10/7/2001.

3. The proposals, if any, should be sent by 31/7/2001.
