Sub:     Norms for the grant of relief to the persons affected by Natural calamities.

 

            In continuation of the instructions issued vide this department memo No. 7/7/97-ERII/5192, dated 14/9/95 government have decided that the norms of relief rot he loss by Natural Calamities for the following items may also be given as details below:

Grant for draught animals lost on account of heavy rains / floods/ hailstorms / fire or lightening

Relief on account of damage to Fruit, Vegetables, Horticulture and Floriculture standing/ harvested crops

(a) Where the loss to crops exceeds 75 %

(b) Where the loss to crops exceeds 50% but    does not exceed 75%

(c) Where the loss to crops exceeds 25% but does not exceed 50%

 

 

 

Rs 2000 per acre

Rs 1000 per acre

 

Rs 700 per acre

 

2.         The relief would be admissible upto a maximum of 10 acres per Khatauni or the actual area affected, whichever is less, depending on the damage.

3.         It has also been decided that no relief should be given on account of damage to houses/ huts constructed unauthorisedly on the government land, Shamlat land and Panchayat land.

4.         The above norms shall be applicable in respect of the damage caused on or after 26/3/1997.

5.         The other terms and conditions for grant of relief to affected persons will remain the same as laid down in the previous instructions issued by government from time to time.
