Deposit of Recoveries etc.

On the lapse of a jagir in whole or in part, recoveries of jagir revenue should be credited to Government under the appropriate head, and not placed in deposit for the benefit of claimants to the jagir.  A refund can always be granted on the recognition of the claims of heirs and others.  An exception to this rule should of course be made under the circumstances provided for in rule IV in paragraph 64.
