Government of India No.2990, dated 27th August, 1852.  Government of India No.109, dated 9th January, 1857.  Despatch, Political Department No.51 dated 30th August, 1858.     The question of the extent to which assignments are alienable, and of their liability to attachment, is discussed in paragraphs 164-170 of the Land Administration Manual.  These paragraph deal also with the liability of perpetual jagirs for the personal debts of the last holder.
