Sub:     Norms for the grant of relief to the persons affected by Natural calamities.

 

            In continuation of the instructions issued vide this department memo No. Memo No.7/7/95-ERII/4731dated the 25/8/1995 Memo No.7/7/95-ERII/5192 dated the 14/9/1995 Memo No.7/7/95-ERII/3601dated the 19/5/97 and Memo No.5/70/97-ERII/4815 dated the 14/7/97 government have decided that relief may also be allowed in case of loss on account of no crop sown due to water logging or floods. Government further decided that the norms of relief on account of no crops sown due to floods or water logging may be given at the following rates :

Where crops have not been sown for less than 2 years

Rs 2000 per acre

Where crops have not been sown for  2 years

Rs 4000 per acre

Where crops have not been sown upto 5 years

Rs 6000 per acre

Where crops have not been sown more than 5 years

Rs 8000 per acre

 

2.         The above norms shall be applicable in respect of relief on or after 12/9/1997.

3.         Other terms and conditions for grant of relief to affected persons will remain the same as laid down in the previous instructions issued by Government from time to  time.
